In difficult times, business leaders need to make many tough decisions. They balance the expenses with revenues and headcount with workload. I have personally witnessed some owners taking pay cuts in order to preserve and protect their employees.
At the same time some employees complain about the workload and they start to watch everyone else’s performance but their own. They outwardly verbalize how so and so does this or dont do that yet dont even realize by then taking the time to complain they themselves are not doing their own work.
It boils down to Personal Accountability! To what standard do you personally hold yourself accountable to? What standards of self performance and honoring yourself by doing your role to its fullest capacity? Do you not concern yourself with others performance?
This week you need to take a very close look at the person in the mirror staring back at you. Look at that persons performance and improve upon it first. As grandma always said clean up your own house before you start telling others to clean up theirs.
